It's All Happening!
On Monday 16th January, I start my new position with ARAFMI (Association for Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill). It’s a six month State funded position – ARAFMI being a state funded, non government organisation.
There will be much to do within the next six months. My main goals are to raise public awareness of ARAFMI in the North and also to set up and establish a much needed ARAFMI Branch somewhere along the North West Coast. At this stage, it will most likely be Burnie.
In between the 30+ hours per week that I’ll be working for ARAFMI, I will still need to fit in time for my GP accreditation survey work. Yikes!!
On a different note, our son Kane is getting married to his long time girlfriend of 13 years! February 11th is the big day and it will be the whole formal ‘bells and whistles’ thingy’ – Wedding at St. Johns Church, Launceston and reception afterwards at Rosevears Estate. (Which reminds me — I must remind Mr Waterwells to buy a tie!) ..
